Elise is a graduate student in the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. She has previously worked in health care consulting, health philanthropy, and most recently, as a psychiatric nurse, with a special passion for individuals with severe mental illness. Her research interests are broad and include the effects of stigma on quality of care, specialized services for individuals with first episode psychosis, and the mental health care needs of individuals involved in the criminal justice system. She holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Emory University, as well as a master’s degree from Brandeis University.
